David
Managing Director
CEO and one of the founders of Kevala Stairs, David’s desire to create an independent business based on high-quality products and customer service was born of his past experience of the construction industry. Aware how unsatisfying it is dealing with unreliable products and suppliers, David was determined to found a company, which provided customers with the best, both in product and service. Hence the choice of the company name “Kevala”, which means “in search of perfection”. David’s enthusiasm for the endless possibilities of new technologies and materials, and his genuine interest in enabling customers to realise their dream, combine to make him an excellent consultant. A carpenter and joiner by trade, with 35 years experience in the construction industry, he is skilled at working with customers and architects to overcome technical difficulties, and achieve the perfect solution.
Dana
Creative Director
Dana co-founded Kevala Stairs with David, and has helped him to build the company from an imaginative idea into a thriving business. With a background in graphic design and art, Dana’s creative influences are evident in the design of Kevala Stairs new offices, the website, brochures and publicity material. She is responsible for overseeing the smooth day-to-day administration of the company; but her main contribution is her superb organisational skills and her perfectionist attitude, which ensure that no detail – whether of design, delivery or installation - is left unattended.
Cameron
Surveyor
Employed initially to help out at a busy time, Cameron proved to be so effective a manager that he very soon became a valuable full-time member of the team. With a background in sales, Cameron understands how important it is to ensure there is a smooth liaison between customer and workforce. He has also proved remarkably good at researching and sourcing specialist items to fulfil customers’ individual requirements.
Grant
Designer
Grant joined the Kevala Stairs team in autumn 2008. A cabinet maker by trade, Grant’s mastery of the latest state-of-the-art software allows him to look at staircase design from every angle. Not only does he understand working with wood and other materials to produce exquisite, hand-crafted pieces, his systems knowledge ensures that every stage of the design, manufacture and delivery process is precisely controlled.
Steve
Financial Consultant
Steve’s role is to ensure that the company operates on a sound financial footing. He is responsible for the company’s long term strategy, maintaining business plans and the day-to-day accounting. Kevala Stairs prides itself on managing the finances with a forward thinking approach to financial management.
