Silvester House

Project: Silvester House (KS2000)
Client: Private
Location: Egham, Berkshire
Materials: Oak treads, risers & strings. Stainless steel balustrading.

This stair was designed for a private customer. Solid planked oak was used to match the appearance of existing dining room flooring. Brushed stainless steel balustrade consisting of a round stainless steel newel posts, anchored into the strings and 5 horizontal rods ended with stainless steel balls to compliment the surrounding modern interior. There is a small matching gallery upstairs. Entry tread is angled and round, the rest of the treads are winding around the corner. This maximises the comfortability of the staircase. The treads were brushed to increase grip as the client has a small child.
